We are committed to clear communication, responsible recordkeeping, and honoring the purpose for which each gift is given.
Sponsor Rest Fund
100% of Sponsor Rest funds received by ShelteringTree Ministries are designated for expenses directly connected to approved retreat stays.
Direct Retreat Expenses
These may include verified lodging costs, required cleaning and property charges, the first-day hospitality meal, approved travel assistance, and documented guest-specific retreat expenses.
Separately Funded Operations
General website, marketing, and administrative expenses are currently funded separately and are not paid from Sponsor Rest gifts.
Oversight and Recordkeeping
Gifts are recorded, categorized, and reviewed under the oversight of ShelteringTree's governing board, and donor restrictions are honored.
Future Reporting
As retreat activity and public giving develop, ShelteringTree intends to provide appropriate summaries of retreat activity and financial stewardship. Private applicant, guest, host, and donor information is not published.
Federal Tax Status
ShelteringTree Ministries, Inc. is a Florida not-for-profit corporation. Its application for recognition of federal tax-exempt status under section 501(c)(3) is pending. Donors should consult their own tax advisers regarding the deductibility of contributions made before federal recognition is issued.
