- Retreat-application information
- Ministry-role and reference information
- Accommodation and travel-related information

- Donation contact and transaction-reference information supplied by the fundraising provider
- Basic technical information needed for security, fraud prevention, and site operation
ShelteringTree does not intentionally collect payment-card numbers through its own website or database.
How Information Is Used

- Review retreat applications
- Communicate with applicants and references
- Coordinate approved retreat opportunities
- Respond to host, donor, and general inquiries
- Process and acknowledge donations through service providers
- Protect the website and prevent fraud or abuse

When Information May Be Shared
ShelteringTree does not sell personal information. Information may be shared only:

- With a host partner after an applicant has been approved and matched, and only to the extent necessary to coordinate the stay
- With professional advisers or authorities when legally required
- With the individual's consent
Full retreat applications are not shared with host partners.
Data Security and Retention
Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards are used to protect information, but no online system can be guaranteed completely secure. Information is retained only as long as reasonably needed for ministry, legal, accounting, security, and recordkeeping purposes.
Children
This website is intended for adults. Information about children should be provided only by a parent or legal guardian when relevant to a family retreat request.
Third-Party Services and Links
External payment providers, listing sites, and other linked websites maintain their own privacy practices, which govern any information collected through those services.
